Native American People

The more children learn about the world — its different peoples, places, and periods of history — the better they understand their own lives and their place within it. Exposure to other cultures and ways of living builds the kind of perspective that generates real questions and the capacity to answer them honestly. Children who grow up with this awareness tend to become more thoughtful members of their communities and more grounded participants in an interconnected world. They come to recognise that their own way of life is one among many, and that people living very differently share the same fundamental needs and the same claim to a good life. Here is why we make figurines representing people of different times and cultures.

This collection represents a Native American family of four: Woman, Man, Girl, and Boy. All figures are hand carved from beech wood, painted with water-based paint, and finished with natural linseed oil. CE certified for children aged 3 and above, made in Bulgaria. It is a natural companion to our collection of American animal figurines.
