For years we had been dreaming of making wooden toys, but we never had the time or the means to actually start. We had to research, save, learn, invest for a long time before we started.
Then it took us more than a year of hard work to be able to open our Etsy shop. Some of our friends and family wondered why we were so busy and never had time; others were glad that we had found a wonderful hobby. Still others were cautiously trying to tell us that it was not something we could turn into a real job.
However, there were a handful of people who took us seriously, admired our first attempts and sincerely encouraged us. Some of them shared their knowledge and experience with us or actually physically lent their hands – with repairs, unloading and cutting wood, etc. We are immensely grateful!
Our shop opened on 22 November, 2019, and a week later we got the first customer. We are so grateful to this brave lady and to all the others who not only appreciated our hard work but also trusted us – a small team of two friends from Bulgaria – a tiny country that is known by not so many people.
We are grateful for the opportunity to do what we truly love, and we would like to tell everyone that hard work, faith and persistence do pay off!
