Farm animals

Farm animals are among the first animals most children encounter — in picture books, on visits to the countryside, and in early play. They are familiar enough to name and distinct enough to tell apart, which makes them a natural starting point for small world play and for building a child’s connection to the living world beyond the city.

This collection includes the full range of common farmyard animals, with both adult animals and their young — cow and calf, sheep and lamb, pig and piglet, horse and foal, goat and kid, donkey and foal. The presence of parent and offspring pairs adds a dimension to play that a collection of adult animals alone cannot offer.

Each figure is carved from beech wood and hand-painted to reflect the real animal in form and spirit. It is realistically sculptured. The color pallette is true to nature. Yet, it leaves room for children’s imagination to unfold.
