American animals

The Americas are home to some of the world’s most distinctive wildlife — and some of the most overlooked in toy collections. This is not a standard North American set. Alongside Bison, Black Bear, Coyote, and Cougar, you will find Wolverine, Opossum, Skunk, Chipmunk, and Raccoon from the north; and from South America, Llama, Sloth, Giant Anteater, Capybara, and Armadillo — animals whose forms are so singular that they reward close attention and careful carving.

The collection spans both continents, covering forest, grassland, mountain, and rainforest habitats. Each figure is carved from beech wood and hand-painted to reflect the real animal, with the characteristic details — the Armadillo’s banded shell, the Sloth’s unhurried posture, the Wolverine’s stocky build — rendered with enough accuracy to be recognisable and enough abstraction to invite play.
